These lamb racks from Opal Farms in Australia are excellent. This is a farmer-owned program and they control everything in the life of the animal. That animal, is raised 100% in pasture and is allowed to roam around for all of its life. No additives, no hormones... nothing un-natural.
Opal Valley delivers the highest quality without compromising the delicious sweet, yet mild taste of pasture fed lamb. That said, this is much gamier than our American lamb.
IS THIS AS GOOD AS AMERICAN LAMB?
At Meat N' Bone we are BIG fans of American raised Lamb. However, during the first half of the year 2021, there has been a lack of availability for high quality domestic lamb. This is expected to continue until the end of the year. As a result, we were forced to look for an alternative.
This search confirmed what we knew, we must have tried a good 20 programs of Australian Lamb and none of them came close to the quality of a Domestic Lamb Rack, particularly OUR domestic lamb rack. But we did love this program from Opal farms, one of the most prestigious and premium lamb programs from Australia.
So is this as good as our American Lamb? Nope, but its pretty good and for about half the price.
This item MIGHT be delivered frozen.

Easter Lamb
This lamb was delicious, we often buy Australian lamb from a big box discount chain so I was expecting a similar product. We found the Meat N' Bone lamb to be a larger cut and less gamey. When I initially brought it in off the grill I thought we would have left overs due to it's size, but it was so good we ate it all. Also accolades to the person handling our order. We are local and selected next day delivery which would have been Easter Sunday. They called me shortly after I placed my order and asked if we were having it for Easter, they offered to deliver it on Saturday at no extra charge.

Not enough
It was tasty but very small. I called and was told two racks would serve 6. I was shocked when it was delivered at the size. I called store but was not satisfied with customer service so drove to grocery store so I would have enough to serve 6 people. I have used you and have always been satisfied. Would have ordered three if advised that way

Superb lamb
Never having made rack of lamb at home, I figured we'd better begin with the best, and as usual, Meat N' Bone delivers! The lamb was beautifully butchered, clean, and fresh, and came out tasting simply divine -- it'll be one of our go-to special occasion dishes from now on. Thank you to German and Co. as always!
